4000 meals for Centenary Project
How much is the average cost for one regular meal? It's around $9 to $10 USD.
In the Bible in Math 15:29-39 there is written about Jesus Christ feeding 4000 men. In Gospel of John 6:1-13 there is mentioned even 5000 people. If He would do that today and would have to pay for all these meals that would be between $36'000 and $40'000 USD. What we can learn from these two Bible passages? The power of it is that the young boy, mentioned in Gospel of John, gave from what he had and he did not have very much. He saw a need and was ready to share.
When we read these passages in the Bible and think about these figures, we at Cesis Baptist Church in Latvia see that this is how much we still need for fulfillment of first stage of Centenary Project.
Thinking about this, we are asking ourselves is it possible to find today 4000 people coming from different parts of the World who would be willing to share one meal expenses for Christian ministry done at Cesis Baptist Church?
Therefore we are asking, is it possible? Definitely it is! We just need to remember the boy whose name we do not know, but there is one thing what we know for sure that he saw, he understood and he shared! Perhaps you will never travel to Latvia or to Cesis, although we would love to invite you to see this wonderful historical town with more than 800 year history. But you can help and be part of the wonderful ministry being done in this town by Christians from Cesis Baptist Church. We invite you to be one among 4000 people who would share expenses of one meal by donating it to the Cesis church. We are raising funds for obtaining our own church property to develop a Christian ministry centre.

We know that the needed 38'698 USD is still a huge amount of money but together we can accomplish it. There is old hymn about many small water drops making big waters and many small grains of sand making huge mountains. The same is with this; small help from many can accomplish much for God's Kingdom!
