"Centenary Project"
In this past year and all previous years God has been very good to our congregation. Therefore we will trust Him in all matters of our church life also in this New Year! We know that there will be new opportunities, challenges and difficulties but it will be also time under His guidance and protection.
In the year 2009, when we celebrated Centenary Anniversary, we also began "Centenary Project", whose goal is to obtain our own church building. In May 2009 we signed contract for a property with 0,86 acres of land and several buildings on it. "Centenary Project" has several stages:
- First stage is to buy piece of property, which church can use for its regular activities. Right now we are accomplishing this first stage. The price for property, which church is obtaining is USD 145'000.
- Second stage is to develop and make this property suitable for different church ministries. This is and will be done mainly with voluntary efforts from church people and small mission projects;
As of January 1, 2011 Cesis Baptist Church has raised USD 106'302. Majority has been accomplished! To be able to accomplish all of the first stage of "Centenary project" we need 38' 698 USD more. Our goal and prayer is that we could accomplish it before May, 2011 two years from the beginning of project. By completing the project now we can spend money on the building itself and not have to pay banking costs and loan interest.
Therefore we desperately pray for any donation, which would bring us closer to the dream to have our own church building. We address this appeal to brothers and sisters who would have desire to share our vision. We address also this to the church committees, which can examine and decide about the help to Cesis Baptist Church. We will be thankful for any help provided for "Centenary Project". Cesis Baptist Church needs your help and we know that together we can accomplish it.
